Databuoy’s SHOTPOINT system now has a mode that can detect, localize, and send reports of non-shot noise events. The reports show up as “noise reports”. The specific noise reporting filter is configurable. Note: noise reports are completely different from gunshot reports. A demo of “noise reporting” is shown using hand claps to initiate a report on the Campus of the Illinois Institute of Technology. This demonstration was done with an Itron network and SHOTPOINT integrated into a LeoTek luminaire.
